Congratulations to Nick Oddy of Ripponden Bowling Club for his victory in the Halifax Vets Handicap! It sounds like a thrilling match. He secured a 21-17 win against John Hamer, who was last year’s finalist. Oddy built an early lead, and despite Hamer’s comeback, he clinched the game. 🎳🏆
Additionally, it’s great to hear that Mick Walker and Nigel Mitchell, also from Ripponden, triumphed in the Halifax Vets Pairs. Their hard-fought 15-10 victory against Phil Holroyd and Lindon Harris of Hill Crest must have been quite a spectacle. The 8-point break that Walker and Mitchell made to lead 14-8 was crucial in securing their win. 🌞👏
And kudos to all the participants—20 pairs—for making it an entertaining day at King Cross! The photo with John Beard of the Halifax Bowling Association captures the camaraderie and competitive spirit of the event. 📸🎉
