Kingston bowling club won the PPL WINDOWS &DOORS
sponsored weds 4-person comp today at
Elland WMC
With a resounding 91-68 victory over Outlane bowling club.
Kingston played the conditions better than the 4 teams in the semi-final,
There semi opponents were Ripponden bc who were weekends today by the absence of Tom Robertshaw who was missed,
Robert Cestrone and Louis barker got them off to a flying start with 21.8 and 21.11 victories over Andrew geese and Nick Oddy, but a fight back was back on when Simon Robinson took Jason barker off for 12, but it left Paul holden with a mountain and he lost to 17 against Paul O’Brien. Kingston winning by 19.
Outlane came through a tight contest with Sowerby T & BC winning by only 3 points in a nip and tuck contest.
Final was all over early on Jason barker beating Ben fisher to 8 and Paul O’Brien winning to 12 against David frost. Hope for Outlane as Steve Lowther was 16.10 up against super sub-Anthony O’Brien but O’Brien ran out at 21.16 winner which left Robert Cestrone and Nigel Mitchell playing for nothing as it was all over. Bragging rights to Mitchell as he won to 20. Kingston winning by 23 and worthy winners on the day.
Picture see’s all-in pic from Kingston, Lynn Cestrone from PPL THE Kingston team and our leagues jenny Walmsley VP and also a member of Kingston. Thank you to Elland WMC for the day and to Pasquale for his measuring skills today, big help
