Covid 19 Update following new Government announcement
Following the recent announcement and changes to Covid Legislation, on the advice of the BCGBA, we can confirm clubs can continue to offer organised bowling activities in a Covid safe manner as contained in our earlier Phase 3 announcement which falls within the sporting exemption allowed. However, please note the YCCGBA does not accept any responsibility for any Covid infections that may arise from bowling activities.
Clubs should continue to follow the Phase 3 guidance and be aware that this is now backed up by the legislation changes. You can continue to take part in organised outdoor sports when restrictions on social gatherings are introduced from Monday 14th September.
You should be also aware of any further local lockdown measures and apply and changes that are appropriate to your area.
Clubs should continue to maintain track and trace records which should be available for 21 days if they are requested by NHS track and trace. In addition we would suggest you obtain the BCGBA registration numbers of all players.
We have received requests to serve food at some venues, if there is an associated business that has guidelines for food and beverages then they must follow their industry guidelines, otherwise you may find you are going against legislation and other guidelines and could be open to receiving fines and other penalties
